Outdoor Pursuits and Activities
By choosing to participate in Outdoor Pursuits here at Beecraigs, you are confirming that you have read and understood the following:
Control of Risk in Outdoor Activities
Assessment and control of risk is part of the outdoor experience and brings with it a different range of risks than in most peoples daily experiences.
Your instructors' qualifications, training and experience, along with their clients' involvement, help them manage these situations to greatly reduce hazards from the outdoor environment and activities being undertaken.
Each instructor's first priority is the safety of their clients, whilst providing a developmental and enjoyable session.
Where specific risks/hazards are encountered, these will be explained before the activity and the particular equipment, safety procedures and participants' actions discussed to control these hazards.
You may wish to consider personal insurance cover.
Parents/guardians should be aware that they are required to complete and submit a "Consent Form" for juveniles (not accompanied by parent/guardian) in advance of the activity taking place.
If you make use of our facilities you do it on the basis that:
- you are physically able to participate in your chosen activity
- you will inform us if you have any medical condition, illness or injury that may affect your participation
- you will inform us of any previous experience that you have of this activity
- you will let us know how many "Consent Forms" (if any) that you require
