Since 1978, Beecraigs has been offering a comprehensive programme of outdoor activities to schools, colleges, community groups, uniformed organisations, businesses and the general public.  This programme has been extended and developed over the years to provide a wide range of choices to suit the varied interests of all our customers.

In all of these activities the aim is to provide a thoroughly enjoyable experience which is exciting, challenging and stimulating.

Courses

Courses are designed around each group's needs and expectations. Activities are held both within the Park and at venues best suited to the activity, the group's ability and the weather conditions.  For participants under the age of 16 years, consent forms must be completed by their guardian/parent (available from the Outdoor Pursuits Team).   Gift vouchers can also be purchased from the Beecraigs Park Centre.

A variety of courses are on offer.  Please note that all prices quoted are valid from the 1st. April 2009.

Introductory Courses (2 hours)
Cost: Adult £16.50  Child £11.00 (under 16 years)

Day Courses
Cost: Adult £33.00  Child £22.00
Extra hours are available at pro-rata cost.

Special Interest Courses (Your choice from a 1 day to a 5 day course in one particular activity or a range of activities)
Daily Cost: Adult £33.00  Child £22.00

A variety of Beecraigs' facilities can be hired through the Outdoor Pursuits Team:-

How to Pay:

Visa, Mastercard, Solo, Delta and Maestro (payable online, in person or over the telephone) are accepted.  You may also pay by cheque or postal order (made payable to West Lothian Council).  Cash payments can be made at the Park Centre.  Please do Not post cash.

Beecraigs Outdoor Activity Centre is licensed through the "Adventure Activity Licensing Authority" for the following activities,

  • Climbing
  • Abseiling
  • Canoeing
  • Kayaking
  • Gorge Scrambling

The levels at which other activities are offered, do not come within the AALA's scope and therefore do not require to be licensed.
