Fishery NewsBeecraigs Fishery Monthly Report, Prospects and Records July 2007 |
|
| July on Beecraigs was once again a very wet month
with day upojn day of torrential rain. With all the excess water the loch rose and
in one day alone it came up over 4inches and that is a lot of water! Hardy Beecraigs
anglers wrapped-up well and got on with the task in hand and were well rewarded for their
efforts. Good quality fish have been caught with many 12 fish limits. Tactics used have varied from days of floating lines and nymphs (of which the Diawl Bach, Buzzer and Snatcher were best patterns) to days of intermediate lines and lures with Dancers, Orange Fritz, Black & Green Fritz and the infamous Booby in its many guises all doing well. Best Fish
Fish of the MonthFish of the month goes to Uphall angler Mr. G. Summerville for a cracker of a rainbow of 15lbs.15oz. taken on a Yellow Goldenhead. Mr Summerville wins for himself a Scierra 10ft I.C.3 fly rod to the value of £100, courtesy of our sponsors for July, Forth Yacht Marina of South Lumley Street, Grangemouth. Fishery Records:
