Beecraigs Country Park and Fletchers Deer Farm have worked together for many years and today Beecraigs is pleased to supply its customers with Fletchers Seriously Good Venison from the Visitor Centre in Beecraigs Country Park. Fletchers is renowned for the excellence of their products, providing delicious, free range venison.
Fletchers Venison is of finest quality with animals home reared in extensive pastures. Only animals under 27months are used for venison and the venison is approved by the Quality Assured Farmed Venison Scheme. The venison is hung in the traditional way for excellent flavour and tenderness.
Venison products include fillets, sirloin, shoulder and topside steak, chops, shoulder roast, haunch roast, sirloin roast, saddle roast, casserole meat, boned saddle and haunch, haggis, mince, burgers and sausages, liver, kidney and heart. Whether cooking a steak, using mince for bolognese or slow cooking a traditional roast, venison can provide you with what you are after.

Venison is:
- an important source of iron with more iron and protein and less fat and water than beef, lamb and chicken.
- lower in fat and cholesterol than skinless chicken
- easily digested because of its low fat levels
- a valuable source of essential Omega 3 fatty acids
- a good source of protein, vitamins and important trace elements
- the intramuscular fat has a better polyunsaturated : saturated fatty acid ratio than other red meats.
Altogether a tender, succulent meat - full of protein.
