Site Standards

Beecraigs Caravan & Camping Site is a family site catering for touring caravans/trailer tents/motor caravans/tents.  Our guests’ enjoyment & safety is paramount & therefore we ask you to adhere to the following site standards.

  1. Persons aged below 18 years must be accompanied during their stay by an adult of over 21 years. Admittance to the site is between the hours of 09:30 & 21:00.  On arrival guests are requested to report to reception for pitch instructions/payment.  Pitch changes can only be made with prior authority from reception.

  2. Pitches are provided for holiday purposes only, intended for the use of bona fide holiday-makers & may not be used as the only or main residence of any persons, nor as a base for traders, dealers or contractors.  Subletting of caravans on site is not allowed.

  3. Only caravans or motor caravans of approved design & good appearance will be admitted to the site.  Panel caravans, commercial vehicles, transit vans, converted buses or improvised vans, etc. will not be admitted.  Caravans should not be used to accommodate a number of persons in excess of the number of berths installed by the manufacturer.

  4. Although every endeavour will be made to allocate guests the pitch of their choice, acceptance of a booking is not conditional on the allocation of a particular pitch.  The open ground between allocated pitches must be kept clear at all times.  The erection of structures such as gazebos & windbreaks are only allowed on the grass camping area if booked for Group Hire.

  5. Speed limit for all vehicles on the site is 10mph.  Please follow the one-way traffic system & observe traffic signs.  A maximum of 1 car can be parked between adjacent units.  All short-term visitors must park within the main car park.

  6. Please respect your fellow guests & keep noise to an absolute minimum.  Quiet hours are from 22:00 until 08:00.  Children on site must be supervised properly so they do not cause nuisance or danger to themselves or others.  No ball/team games allowed around pitches; please use other open areas within the Country Park.   

  7. Dogs kept on leads are welcome.  Please ensure that dogs are exercised outside the site & that you clean-up after your pet.  Do not leave your dog unattended at any time.

  8. Use of the BBQ units on site is free, charcoal being the only permissable fuel.  Hot ash from the BBQs must be extinguished after use.  The lighting of open fires & ground level BBQs is not allowed.

  9. A bucket or other suitable receptacle, which should not be allowed to overflow, must be used for collection of waste water & emptied at the appropriate disposal point provided.

  10. There are disposal points provided for chemical toilets & chemical toilet waste must be disposed of at these locations.  Visitors are requested to keep the toilet buildings clean & tidy, reporting any faults to reception/staff please. 

  11. Keys for access to the site /electricity hook-ups, are available from the Park Centre or Restaurant receptions on payment of a returnable deposit.  If customers are leaving early morning, it is advised to return your key & collect your deposit the evening prior.

  12. Clothes ropes are not allowed between caravans or attached to adjoining trees or fences.  Please use the laundry facilities provided.

  13. Representatives of the Council are responsible for the smooth running of the Caravan Site & the welfare of the occupants.  We reserve the right to ask guests who contravene Site Standards or, who in any other way are behaving in a manner likely to cause distress or nuisance to other visitors, to leave the site immediately.  In these circumstances the holiday ceases & we shall not be liable for any extra costs incurred by you.

  14. Refunds are available if cancellations/alterations to bookings are made at least 14 days before the date of arrival.  Refunds are not guaranteed within the 14 day period or if guests depart prior to the end of their booked holiday.

  15. Beecraigs Caravan & Camping Site hopes that you very much enjoy your stay.  If you have a complaint/issue about anything during your holiday please raise it with a member of staff immediately.
