Site Standards

These site standards aim to ensure that all visitors have an enjoyable stay at Beecraigs and, in the interest of all visitors, please comply with the following standards. 

It is particularly important to remember that customers are asked to be quiet on the site from 10pm. and to be considerate towards one another.

  1. Persons aged less than 18 years must be accompanied during their stay by an adult of over 21 years.  Admittance to the site is between the hours of 09:30 and 21:00.
  2. Only caravans or motor caravans of approved design and good appearance will be admitted to the site. Panel caravans, commercial vehicles, transit vans, converted buses or improvised vans, etc. will not be admitted. Caravans should not be used to accommodate a number of persons in excess of the number of berths installed by the manufacturer.
  3. Pitches are provided for holiday purposes only, intended for the use of bona fide holiday-makers and may not be used as the only or main residence of any persons, nor as a base for traders, dealers or contractors. Subletting of caravans on site is not allowed.
  4. Additional pitchings on the camping areas, such as gazebos and windbreaks, are only allowed if you have booked "Group Hire" of the camping site.
  5. On arrival visitors are requested to report to reception for siting instructions and/or payment. Pitch changes can only be made with prior authority from reception.
  6. The speed limit for all vehicles in the Caravan Site is 10mph. Please follow the one-way traffic system and observe traffic signs.
  7. The countryside is a quiet place and, as Beecraigs has visitors of all ages, you must keep noise to a minimum. Please be considerate to others particularly after 10pm and early morning. All ball games and other "play" must not take place around caravans or tents on the site. Please use other open areas within the Country Park.
  8. Dogs kept on leads are welcome. Please ensure that dogs are exercised outside the site and that you clean-up after your pet.
  9. Use of the BBQs is free, charcoal being the only permissable fuel. Hot ash from the BBQs must be extinguished after use. The lighting of fires other than in the BBQs is strictly forbidden.
  10. A bucket or other suitable receptacle, which should not be allowed to overflow, must be used for collection of waste water and emptied at the appropriate disposal point provided.
  11. There are disposal points provided for chemical toilets and chemical waste must be disposed of at these elsan points. Visitors are requested to keep the toilet buildings clean and tidy, reporting any faults to reception please.
  12. Keys for the electric hook-ups are available from the Park Centre or Restaurant reception on returnable deposit. If customers are leaving early morning, it is advised to return your key and collect your deposit the evening prior.
  13. For safety reasons, clothes ropes are not allowed between caravans or attached to adjoining trees or fences. Please use the laundry facilities provided.
  14. West Lothian Council shall not be liable for any loss or damage occasioned to any person, vehicle or caravan, or its contents whilst in the site, howsoever such damage or loss is caused.
  15. Representatives of the Council are responsible for the smooth running of the Caravan Site and the welfare of the occupants, and as such may refuse entry to, or should it be considered necessary, request removal or move any caravan or vehicle.
